At LPW, trauma-informed practice is at the heart of everything we do. We understand that many individuals, young people and their families experience trauma, which can have a profound impact on their lives.

By offering support from emotionally available adults, a nurturing environment and an empathic approach, we aim to create a space where children and young people feel brave, supported and empowered. We work closely with children, young people and their families to help overcome trauma. We believe that with the right support, they can break through barriers, remain positive in the face of adversity and become ambitious in pursuing their goals. Through this approach, we provide the opportunity for them to thrive and achieve great things.

Safeguarding
Our approach
At LPW, safeguarding children is our top priority, ensuring that every child feels safe, valued and supported.
We have robust policies and procedures in place, including regular staff training on recognising and responding to signs of abuse, neglect, exploitation or harm. Our organisational culture fosters vigilance and we maintain clear reporting pathways, which are detailed in our policies on Safeguarding Children and Young People and Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults.
By promoting positive relationships and well-being, we maintain emotionally supportive and enriching spaces where children and young people build trusted and trauma-informed relationships; grow in confidence and independence; overcome challenges; have ownership of their learning and future; and thrive.
