Our team comes from a diverse range of professional and cultural backgrounds, giving us a wealth of different experiences and skills from which to build our expertise. Everyone here has a different story about what led them to work for LPW, but all are driven by a desire to achieve real and positive outcomes for children and young people in the communities in which we work.
— LPW Engagement Worker
"I enjoy working as part of LPW, as it's a fantastic team to work with."

What it's like to work at LPW
Our staff are our greatest asset. We work together to provide safe, emotionally supportive and enriching spaces where we can support children and young people. Staff wellbeing is key to this, which is why all our team enjoy benefits that include:
LPW wellbeing day (an extra day’s leave!)
WellHub which gives discounted access to gyms and fitness venues, online classes, health and wellbeing apps, personal training and much more.
26 days annual leave (increasing based on length of service), plus bank holidays and seasonal shutdown days
Employee Assistance Programme
Discount vouchers and offers for a range of retail and hospitality providers
Cycle to work scheme, free onsite parking at our main office, childcare vouchers (where applicable) and travel loans.

How we work
We provide emotionally available environments and work with children and young people in a trauma-informed way. We extend this to our staff as well.
Other benefits include regular supervision, therapeutic supervision, 4% employer’s contribution pension and allowances for taking on additional responsibilities.

Continual professional development
We invest in our people. We encourage personal and professional development to improve our staffs’ skills, knowledge and expertise.
Our induction and ongoing training is both formal and informal to meet our staffs’ professional needs and areas of interest. Continuing professional development is unique to each member of staff. Our way of working encourages our staff to discuss and explore role-specific training, development and career progression opportunities with line managers. We provide a range of formal and informal in-house training, as well as opportunities to undertake role-specific qualifications and training.

Employee engagement
All staff have the opportunity to join our Employee Engagement Group (EEG) and have the opportunity to shape, influence and contribute to LPW’s governance, strategic direction and leadership.
Our EEG group actively seeks the views of our wider staff team, encouraging colleagues to share ideas and discuss themes.
