Prize winning young gardeners

10th November 2017

It seems a long time ago, but back in August, LPW’s allotment and garden area at Barton Hill Settlement was given an official visit by a judge from the Royal Horticultural Society.

The allotment had been entered in the Society’s annual It’s Your Neighbourhood category and one of our young gardeners was on hand to detail their progress and plans.

Their work and enthusiasm obviously made its mark and excitement mounted when an invitation to the awards at Ashton Gate arrived. You can imagine how thrilled the group was to receive an award in the RHS’ Thriving category. An outstanding achievement, producing smiles all round and a well-earned feeling of accomplishment.
