Getting young people to exercise is a proven way of increasing self-esteem and confidence, not to mention the obvious health benefits.
LPW has been running weekly fitness sessions as a central part of activities for children and young people and a South Bristol group were rewarded for their Spring to Fitness efforts with a visit to the University of Bath’s TeamBath Olympics training facilities.
They enjoyed some Speed for Skills training with the TeamGB Olympic Judo Coach, tried out beach volleyball and had a session on the trampolines. The Teen Fit programme is helping young people across Bristol develop healthier lifestyles, including better diets.
