Breaking ground in South Bristol

13th April 2018

The Big Hideout is being developed at Teyfant Road in Hartcliffe. We’ve held a community event to explain the plans to our residential neighbours as well as listening to their ideas for the space.

Local children and residents attended, fed by the local Morrisons and given walking tours around the half-a-hectare site. Children from the original Hideout came and were thrilled to see their ideas closer to fruition, making use of the space and their imaginations on the spot to create some exciting games. Many were eager to see new wooden play structures and a rope-swing, while local people were interested in starting a community garden.

After earlier consultation with local kids, the playground will also feature a fire-pit and Forest School facilities. We’re aiming for an official opening in the summer holidays.
